Captain Andy from Brookings Fishing Charters checked in. The weather has improved with calm seas and light winds. We ran up to Mack Arch today, and had the whole reef to ourselves, resulting in limits of nice lings and big rockfish. The snapper were on the surface again, so we got them with top water lures. We fished a group from Idaho that had never been on the ocean before. They were thrilled with the steady light-tackle action. Good weather is expected all week. Salmon season opens Saturday.
