Eel Lake is scheduled to be stocked this week with legal-size trout. There are also plenty of holdover rainbow trout and wild cutthroat trout for anglers to catch. Trolling spinners is the best way to cover water and catch trout this time of the year.
The lake also has a decent population of largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill. Fishing for these warmwater fish species will improve as water temperatures warm in late spring.
