New Shasta Lake trout spoon!
4-24-2018
Jeff Goodwin
Today I fished Shasta Lake with Adam and Dick again for a second day of good trout fishing and great company. Yesterdays brown bite was slow for us so we planned to get on some rainbows early and finish the day looking for some bigger fish. We caught both quality browns and rainbows, so as expected, the day was considered a success! The real story here is that I've been working with Trinidad Tackle on a new spoon called the "Popped Eye Spoon". Its a great little spoon that will catch a number of fish species, but its designed for trout and Kokanee fishing primarily. So far it has only been tested while fishing Redding's local lakes. Today marks the end of the testing phase because I've determined its simply a dynamite spoon! The Trinidad Tackle "Popped Eye" spoon has proven once again that it definitely has and will continue to catch quality trout. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so I'll save the written details for later and you can enjoy the picutres now. The "popped Eye Spoon" is not ready for retail just yet, but they will be available locally at Phils Propeller or online at www.trinidadtackle.com in the near future.
