PT. Pinole Pier Fishing Report

4-20-2018
East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

DFW has been cracking down on the illegal 3-pole anglers and the illegal take of stripers off the pier.

Water temperature is in the mid-50s, weather has been sunny and occasionally overcast. Rain is in the forecast for this weekend.

Reminder to boaters: Please check conditions before launching your boat as conditions can change quickly this time of year.

Pier retrofit is complete, with all new benches, windscreens and cleaning station.

Fishing is good, depending on weather impact on water clarity. The best fishing has been at high tide.

STRIPED BASS

Striper action has been picking up, several are being caught each day in the 18 to 30 inch range.

OTHER SPECIES

One surfperch was reported caught, along with one halibut that was too small to keep, and a few sharks.

Please Remember: Some perch are now off limits until August!
