PT. Pinole Pier Fishing Report
3-23-2018
East Bay Regional Park District
GENERAL CONDITIONS
DFW has been cracking down on the illegal 3-pole anglers and the illegal take of stripers off the pier.
Fishing has begun to improve, depending on weather impact on water clarity. The best fishing is at high tide.
Fishing pressure has been pretty average on the pier for this time of year.
Reminder to boaters: Seas have been rough due to high winds.
Pier retrofit is complete, with all new benches, windscreens and cleaning station.
STRIPED BASS
Striper action has been picking up, with more legal sized catches as well as smaller fish. Sixteen stripers have been caught in the last two weeks.
OTHER SPECIES
One perch was reported caught, along with a halibut and a few sharks.
