Rockfish

Cisco's Report: Tuesday 3/13

Channel Islands Sportfishing

One boat from our fleet was out fishing today, the Gentleman 2 for 1 Special.  Forty anglers headed out on a ¾ day trip hoping to catch some Rockfish and maybe a Lingcod or two. Conditions were good with a little drizzle but a flat calm ocean. No luck on catching any keeper Lingcod, but the Rockfish were biting. An assortment of Rockfish species were brought aboard today. A lot of Reds, Chucks, and Chilipeppers, like the one pictured here. “It was a good day with minimal tangles and a good amount of fish, and awesome weather”, said one angler as he returned from this trip.

Fish Count: 1 Boats and 40 Anglers.

320 Rockfish.

Bottom fishing continues to be excellent here at the Channel Islands. So far, it has been a much better season than we had expected. One can only hope this trend continues for a long time, because we love to see our customers catching lots of fish!

*All boats are independently owned & operated*
