Well with our weather being a bit off for this time of year its only trout on the menu. But the good news is we have plenty and the rainbow trout are doing just what is needed. The number one is for our anglers of course. The trout are doing a early job on eating the caddis fly and some of the mussels we have here. I was able to get a few samples to our pest abatement manager Joe isburg. He was able to examine the samples and it is looking super he said on had over 30 caddis fly in its contents. the exact amount was hard to tell as the contents were decomposing some what. however The content did confirm that the trout are eating the larvae which is super news. The Willow beach hatchery is doing a great job on getting them to us the stock sites are community park and Davis camp. On the plus side Rotary park is still producing and is giving up some nice catches. Our local anglers Mvzzaffar Pana (red hat) Mark Aguilar (grey cap) and Tait Martin. a couple in the 16 and 15 in range a nice stringer of fish. they were fishing from shore and using night crawlers. No word on striper as of yet from either Lake Mohave or here along the Colorado river. This is soon to change so when having any luck stop in to share so we know they are here. a reminder please bring in a couple of trout so I can get more samples and thanks for your support hope this helps Now Go Catch a Fish.
