Hot Shasta bite and cold weather
2-26-2018
Jeff Goodwin
Shasta Lake trout fishing is as good as it gets right now. The morning bite is crazy good and the good bite goes well into the noon hour as far as I can tell. We haven't had to fish very long lately before the angler limits are filled so being done by noon isn't a problem at all. The trout are still on top and eager to bite! March will continue to see some great fishing so take advantage of the great conditions we have and lets get some of those March fishing trips scheduled! Tight lines!
Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide. He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
