GENERAL CONDITIONS

The weather has been very nice with the temperatures in the low 30 to the high 60 in the afternoon.
Water Temperature: 56 degrees, depending on depth.
Water Clarity: Visibility seems to vary between 10-15 feet.
Shadow Cliffs has already received several fish plants this season, and is scheduled to get a fish plant every week the next three weeks!

TROUT

On 11/27 Robert Serena and friend were trolling around the lake and they caught limits of trout using Powerbait. On 11/28 Mike Jones was out on his boat and he caught 2 trout and he was using Powerbait. On 11/29 4 trout were caught on Powerbait and they were caught on the Stanley Dock. On 12/3 Richard Castro of San Jose caught 1 trout fishing right of the boat dock and his friend Ronny Por caught a 5.4lb trout and they were using Powerbait and Steve House caught 3 trout out on his boat and he was bait fishing.

On 12/4/17 Ed Lewis was out on his boat when he caught 2 trout and he caught and released 1 bass. Sam of Pleasanton caught his limits early in the morning and he was bait fishing. On 12/09 limits of trout were being pulled in from all over the lake. On 12/10/17 Edger Lopez of San Jose caught a 4.4lb trout on green Powerbait and he was fishing right of the boat rentals and Lance and Bryant Nielsen of Dublin caught 2 trout trolling and 3 trout on Powerbait. Ruben Mendez of Sunnyvale caught 2 trout on pumpkin Powerbait and he was fishing by the 1st dock. On 12/11 Sam of Pleasanton caught limits of trout bait fishing from his boat.

CATFISH

Anglers are still pulling out some good size catfish and they report that they are catching them by the swim ropes. The best bait to use is chicken livers and mackerel.

The weather this week here at Lake Del Valle has been beautiful with morning temperatures in the low to mid 30s and warms up into the low 60's mid-day. The surface temperature of the water has dropped drastically this week to 55 degrees. The hot bite this week has been trout with many anglers having success.
