The trout bite slowed a bit this week with the hotter weather but most anglers caught fish and many scored limits. Anglers used just about everything to catch fish including Power Bait ( especially red, white and blue, sherbert , bubblegum, orange and lemon twist) night crawlers ( doused with attractant), lures and jigs. Anglers also used longer leaders ( 2 to 4 feet). Hot spots included the grassy point and western shore of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2. Bass bite is very good with anglers reporting bass up to 3 lbs on drop shot and senkos. Hot spots for bass are the southern shore of lake 2 and the northern and western shores of lake 3, particularly near the bridge and pump house. Bluegill are hitting meal worms and jigs on the western shore of lake 2 and the northern and western shores of lake 3. Anglers report good size on bluegill with many near or over 1 lbs.
