Cisco’s Report: Veterans Day

11-11-2017
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Report: Busy day as a lot of people, veterans included, decided to celebrate Veterans Day on their favorite fishing boat. Fishing started out tough because there was no current in the morning. Things finally started to bite as the afternoon current picked up and our boats were able to put together a decent count. Most of our day was spent catching Reds, Chucks, Lingcod and a lot of Whitefish. A couple of our full day boats went for bass instead of Rockfish and they got several. Not eating the plastic that much though, they had to simply use the live sardine. We have a couple boats out on day one of two day trips. Rumor has it they have a few nice Yellowtail on the boat, but official numbers will have to wait for tomorrows report, so stay tuned!

Today’s Fish Count: 9Boats and 217 Anglers

1,575 Rockfish, 654 Whitefish, 50 Lingcod, 45 Sheephead, 42 Calico Bass, 8 Bonito, and 5 Sole.
