Klamath river reunion
11-3-2017
Mario Gomez
Bob from southern California made his way back to the klamath after a 20 year hiatus. When he called and booked the trip i had no idea what i was in for. Bob was full of fishing stories from the Klamath and spoke of a time that reminded me of the fishing adventurers i spent with my grandfather as a kid. He spoke of cold winter steelhead seasons and chrome rockets that fly through the air almost as fast as they do the water. Bob brought his son Matt up with him to pass on the experience and to show him what he has been talking about for all these years. Bob and Matt fished for 2 days and on day 2 they boated 20 half pounders and a few nice adults apiece. The fresh fish are in the lower river and that's where you will find this guy for a while.
