Yellows and Bait

Today we started out on the coast looking for yellowtail. The first two shallows we checked were not holding Yellows. The third one was holding a nice school. We caught them steady for about three hours on both bait and jigs. When they quit we ran in to the beach and topped off our bait supply with perfect green mackerel.
Our photo today is one of bait making. Something no long range experience is complete without.

10-28-2017Wow,did things change overnight. We had beautiful weather conditions and beautiful water, but the current changed to nothing. We spent the day searching for the same type of action we had yesterday. We scoured the shallows and off the edges, and came up with very little to put in the RSW tank.
