Fish Report for 10-21-2017

Cisco’s Report: Back on the Water!

10-21-2017
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Report: After keeping the boats tied up the last few days, it was nice to get a couple boats out on the water. The winds have finally calmed down and the weather is supposed to warm up considerably the next few days. Today we looked at a few spots along the coast and at Anacapa and the east end of Santa Cruz Island. Water temperatures along the coast were reported to be in the mid 50’s but the islands it was a lot warmer. Sign of Yellowtail are still there but there were too many sea lions out on the prowl to keep fish at the boat. Fortunately, the bottom fish like cooler temps and they were out and biting!

Today’s Fish Count: 2 Boats and 72 Anglers

300 Rockfish, 500 Whitefish, and 7 Sheephead,
