If you are a local steelhead angler, last Saturday was the day to be on one of our local streams. Ernie Kinzli at Ernie's Casting Pond informs us that prior to being blown out by the weekend rains, a good number of fish were caught on the San Lorenzo River. Kinzli is hoping the river will clear sufficiently for this weekend's fishing. Mark Dingler at The Angler's Choice Tackle Shop received reports of numerous fish caught on the San Lorenzo Saturday, including two seven-pound steelhead he landed himself. "If the river is clear, this weekend could be a repeat," Dingler says.?? Next Wednesday, March 7 is the last day for local steelhead fishing.
