Hi Gang,

We departed this morning at 0815 on the first long trip of the year, our annual Catchy Tackle sponsored 15 day trip. One day was scheduled in before this trip to make final preparations before departure and we put the time to good use. We cleared Point Loma at 1000 with an incredible load of bait and our weather is beautiful. The long range weather forecast looks good with zero tropical disturbances for the next week. It is great to see all the guys on board, Bruce, "The Professor" Colblentz, Chris Minnick, Rich Rose, Pete Wight, Fred Knilans, Bill Stallman, Bob Yoshida, David "Soda Pop" Rouse, Gerald Yoshida, Kevin, Cosca, Mike Lovelle, to name a few. Our dinner tonight, a perfectly cooked prime rib with all the trimmings. Good weather, good food, good people. Life is good on the Intrepid. Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
