Channel Islands Sportfishing
The first week of October is in the books and so far its looking like we will have a great fall fishing season. Mixed grade Yellowtail are biting at the local islands with a hand full being caught at Santa Rosa too. We are still seeing plenty of the smaller Yellows but this week we are starting to see a lot more break offs and people getting spooled. The large models are here, so it’s time to step it up and bring the heavier gear!
Today’s Fish Count: 9 Boats and 218 Anglers.
54 Yellowtail, 16 Calico Bass, 1 Mako Shark, 1 Bonito, 19 Sheephead, 32 Lingcod, 1 Sole, 527 Whitefish, and 1,062 Rockfish.
