Out and underway on the first annual seven day voyage sponsored by “The Bight”. By far our favorite fishing publication we are proud to express 100% support for the visionary idea behind each issue that elevates our knowledge of this distinct region from within.

Positioned for success with an exceptional load of bait and group of anglers we sally forth ready for the “crucible” with realistic expectations based upon recent history. Living up to its reputation of late the outside island offers long range opportunities and long range risk. As any and all following along have gathered it is all about timing; and being able to capitalize on the chances when they do come along.

The potential payoff is well worth it. This majority of this group of anglers is well familiar with this style of fishing and the notion of high risk, high reward. Working SW at dark in beautiful conditions one and all enjoyed a spectacular sundown eagerly anticipating our mid day arrival tomorrow. Reports and photos will follow. Enjoy today’s image, courtesy of John Muir and ISSF, of a school of yellowfin tuna in the size range that would be perfect for this run, and any other.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.

We then headed into the beach to try for yellowtail. We looked at a lot of structure on our way up, to no avail. Some days Mother Nature decides to be stingy.  ...... Read More
