"It was a bit windy today, with overcast skies, and 9 to 12-foot seas. We also had a little rain today. With all the wind and rain, it was nausea on the kite, all day long. At one point, I didn't know if I was going or coming. Including weather problems, the Sharks didn't make things any better. But we managed to pick away at the Yellowfin and Wahoo. Most of the Yellowfin were in the 70 to 90-pound range, with a few in that 140 to 190-pound range.

"Lucky angler today was Gayle Brown-Johnson. Gayle was fortunate enough not to hook any Sharks on the kite. She landed a Yellowfin over 100 pounds each time she was up on the kite. Many of the anglers are trying out the new Black Water Fluorocarbon. Dean Yoshizumi of Black Water brought 4 sizes for all to use. The first day we had half the boat fish a brand name fluorocarbon and the other half fish Black Water. Well let's say, Black Water out fished the other by 5 to 1. Dean also got into some action today, landing a nice Yellowfin around 135 pounds using the Black Water 100-pound test fluorocarbon.

"Big fish honor goes to Robert Ramirez. Robert landed a 190-pound Yellowfin while fishing the kite. So with the weather, the sharks, and the ocean all seeming to work against us, today was still a good day."
