American Angler Report 2-17-07

Bill Roecker

"Yesterday it was Hurricane Bank, but today we called it Bahamas Bank. The weather was just awesome, light wind, barely enough to fly the kite, and everybody scrambled to find their sunscreen. Now on the fishing end of things, we wound up with 15 fish over the 100-pound mark and most of those were caught in a two hour window throughout the day. The potential is here.

"The photo of the day is John Wilson and today he had 2 personal best fish of his life. We still have plenty of time, so we hope any day now will be the all day party."

The next day the Angler reported, "Once again beautiful weather, and by the time the sun went down it was our best day yet. The fish we have been catching are for the most part 100 to 180 lb with some 25 to 50 lb fish in the mix. We hope this trend continues the next couple of days.

"The photo of the day is Nacho Camarena with Ken, Dale, Elmer and Carter cheering him on. The fish was a 130-pounder, and the gang is really having a good time.
