Royal Polaris Crew
Hi folks! Sorry I have not kept you up to date but all of us have been working 12 to 13 hours a day getting things done. We did another sea trial the other day and all is going well. Monday we do a 5 hour sea trial with all of the Cummins technicians aboard with all of their instruments attached to the engines. Monday afternoon we will repeat a short sea trial with U.S. Coast Guard aboard. This is a good time to perhaps give many praises to Billy Santiago. He has been fabricating pump stands, life raft holders and many other items. Since we left the yard, he has done much of the welding, organizing and preparation for American Bureau of shipping inspection and Coast Guard inspection which have been numerous. He has kept Aaron and Eddie on projects throughout the boat. Without Billy, there is no way we would be ready by June 6th. Today (Saturday), there are two electricians working until about 11am, while 6 crew members are putting down the new deck. The new deck is a three stop process as follows: Apply epoxy and shake silica sand. Wait 2 to 3 hours for it to dry. Topcoat of epoxy on deck. (topside, main deck and bait tank) let dry till Sunday morning Apply urethane coat Sunday morning I will report again Tuesday or Wednesday.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
