Following an accelerated, efficient turnaround we departed on the second annual Ed Hansen three day adventure loaded and ready for action. As luck would have it the local grounds were primed with plenty of school size yellowfin tuna in a range easily accessible our first afternoon. In fact the fish were so close that we barely had time to prep our gear and complete our before fishing routines. We were on the grounds with lines in the water at 12:15; made to order!

Though we arrived right as the morning rush came to an end the couple of hours we spent driving around for nothing were not wasted. By the time the fish did come back up we had a good line on where to be and why to be there. Great action from a couple of three stops shook out the kinks and got everyone in the saddle with ample opportunity to pull on fish and use some tags. Good working weather, forecast tomorrow to go flat calm, was a bonus as we settled in for the night planning to target these school tuna again in the morning before moving on in search of variety and trophy bluefin.
