Fish Report for 9-8-2017

Cisco’s Report: Friday 9/8

9-8-2017
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Our first official weekend after the kids went back to school is under way, and with it the forecast looks much improved. Over the past few days we have been dealing with windy conditions. So much so, that we had to cancel a day all together. This afternoon we had good weather and some excellent fishing! Still, our summer species are here and biting. Yellowtail is our primary target but as you can see from today’s count, the White Seabass are out there. Barracuda and Calico Bass are rounding out the day for our boats fishing only top water, while bottom fishing in the shallows remains good for Whitefish and a variety of Rockfish species.

Today’s Fish Count: 9 Boats and 145 Anglers

39 Yellowtail, 5 White Seabass, 2 Bonito, 9 Barracuda, 26 Calico Bass, 12 Sheephead, 307 Whitefish, 42 Lingcod, and 655 assorted Rockfish.

Our weekend has a lot of private trips on the books, but we still have open trips available. If you can get away and go fishing, give us as call or you can book online anytime!
