Departure day included a quick pit stop in the beautiful port city of Ensenada setting us up for a trip to the outside island at some point during this annual, seven day Izorline sponsored voyage. Before heading west though we opted to pass day one offshore in search of what have been plentiful school size yellowfin tuna. The first move on the chessboard did not disappoint. A fine morning working on the yellowfin produced plenty of action beginning the voyage on the right note. Following the morning of steady action those fish that were so abundant and available took a nose dive into the deeps proving very difficult to find as the day progressed into afternoon/evening. Taking the hint we jumped into the next move confident that we were leaving nothing behind. Tomorrow begins the trophy portion of this run. Thus far abundance of trophy yellowfin at Guadalupe has not been an issue - there are plenty. But catching the ridiculously reluctant devils has been a tale of woe. We'll see what tomorrow has in store for us. At the very least we are in the right position to make a good go of it. If we find success we are set up to make the most of it. If we don’t there is ample time to move elsewhere. Look for reports to continue.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
