Fish Report for 6-10-2017

Cisco’s Report: Saturday June 10th

6-10-2017
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Not a lot of boats out today because of the weather forecast, but for those that made it out they had a great day of fishing. Behind the islands, our boats were able to find calm water to fish in and lucky enough, they were biting. Whether it be bottom fishing for a variety of Rockfish, or in the shallows fishing for White Seabass, everyone got a chance to bend a rod. Big bite of the day came on our full day trip aboard the Aloha Spirit, who caught limits of Seabass for its 20 anglers. Another full day trip aboard the Sea Jay got a few to bite, landing 5 White Seabass and loosing at least that many. We were fortunate to get today in, but the wind monster is about to raise its ugly head once again. We had to take out boats offline fishing tomorrow (Sunday) because of it. No avoiding this one, the wind is coming and it’s going to turn the waters here into a virtual washing machine. We hope to be back online Monday, but we will be keeping a close eye on the forecast because it’s possible this front coming through will stick around for more than one day. Today’s Fish Count: 4 boats and 114 anglers. 327 Rockfish, 29 Ocean Whitefish, 4 Lingcod, 4 Sculpin, 1 Halibut, 1 Calico Bass, and 25 White Seabass.
