Just when you thought it was safe to leave the big gear at home the larger Bluefin tuna, and even some large local Yellowfin tuna, return to the offshore scene. Gear up accordingly with a 60-80# rig, 40-50#set-up and a 25-30# rig.
The SAN DIEGO returned to the dock with 4 Bluefin (including an incredible 177#er!), 1 Yellowfin (50#) and 7 Yellowtail.
The TRIBUTE boated 20 Bluefin ( 2 over 100#s), 1 Yellowtail and 12 Bonito.
The PACIFIC VOYAGERs 2 day charter had 14 Bluefin, 7 Yellowfin (to 65#s), 20 yellowtail and 100 rockfish.
