We are currently still full and stocked 1200lbs of Trout last Thursday 5/11/17. Reports from fisherman are that Trout are being caught in the 15ft range. Kastmasters, Night Crawlers, and PowerBait are working best. The Catfish keep rolling in! The Crappie and Blue Gill bite has been getting better and better as the weather warms. In other news, we are booked for Memorial Weekend, but we have Overlfow and Picnic Area open for camping on a first come first serve basis. Lake AmadorThe warmer weather has Trout going to deeper depths. Reports of them being caught anywhere from 10ft up to 25ft deep and everywhere in between. We stocked another 1200lbs this past Friday the 5th. Still PowerBait, Night Crawlers, and Kastmasters are doing well either from shore or fishing the shoreline by boat. Lake AmadorOh Yeah, Its On! We released 3600lbs of Lightning Trout yesterday 4/24/17, on top of Friday 4/21!!! Trout are somehow still shallow 5-7ft deep and relatively close to shore. Many boaters have been bait fishing the shore line in the back of the lake with great success. Shore fisherman have been doing good pretty much all around.
