Del Valle Fishing Report

5-5-2017
East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The weather this week has been beautiful, temperatures in the low 70s- low 80s this week with little to no wind most days. The hot bite this week has been trout, anglers have been catching them from the south end to swallow bay. Most anglers are catching them on nightcrawlers and mice tails, we've had a few anglers catch them on rapalas.

CATFISH

Catfish have been slow with few anglers hooking into them. Best bait to use would be anchovies, nightcrawlers, or sardines. Anglers have been catching them out at the dam as well.

TROUT

Trout have been biting at the south end using nightcrawlers, mice tails and PowerBait.

STRIPED BASS

Stripers have showed up more often this week with many anglers catching them on anchovies and sardines. Most anglers have been catching them in the lower narrows and out at the dam. I would also try throwing flukes or hair raisers.
