4-21-2017
East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Weather has been unsettled, rainy then, sunny, not very windy. The fish have been biting and Anglers have been out almost every day since the last report.

CATFISH

One 12 inch long catfish was reported near the center of the park near the stone bench, just to the right of the ADA dock.

TROUT

Anglers have been catching trout almost every day. Trout have ranged from 12 inches (1.5 lbs.) – 23+ inches (2-4 lbs ). Most anglers are using a variety of power bait dough. Most recently the popular colors have been: chartreuse, rainbow and garlic all in a mint color. Power bait mouse tails are still hooking them as well.

Few anglers have reported catching trout with Kast master lures on warmer days.

BASS

Two bass were reported being caught on lures around the north Temescal fishing dock and along the west shore trail. You can actually see lots of baby bass around almost every section of the lake.
