TRIBUTE – 0830 hours, Captain Dave radioed in with 10 Bluefin Tuna already on board, and has several hanging, ready to make their way onto the boat. Captain Dave described the sea and weather as, “Awesome with only a very small swell”. He is recommending heavier tackle to cut down on casualties. 50 pound set-ups with about 40-pound fluorocarbon leaders and a 2/0 - 4/0 size circle hook. Additionally, some fish are being taken on the 160 – 200 gram Shimano Flatfalls.

SAN DIEGO – 12:30 hours, Captain Bostian radioed in a mid-day update. He has 13 Bluefin Tuna (20-25-pound range) resting comfortably in the RSW, along with 19 Yellowtail (10-pound range). With the second half of the day still to fish, check back for the late update.

The TRIBUTE has scheduled one day trips every day this week and space is available right now. Also, we have the SAN DIEGO on its ¾ day runs departing daily at 5:30 AM. Make your reservations and secure your spots for a shot at the April 2017 tuna!
