Day 3;

and still moving on down the line. The big weather warm up we were waiting for arrived today in full force. Somewhere along the line we changed from sweat shirts to shirts off and we’re all loving it! We had to pass by Alijos anyway, so Capt. Jonathan gave it a quick drive by, and darned if Bob Ramirez didn’t manage to find a single wahoo (aka. future fish enchilada) for the galley. Other than that, there is really nothing else to expand upon today. The ride is smooth as it can be, and thanks to a brand new system, we’ve actually still got live TV.

A quick seminar after breakfast covered tuna fishing and pertinent tackle prep, and was immediately followed by more marathon rigging sessions at galley tables. Most reels are finally on respective rods, and after another full day of running tomorrow, we will be armed and ready to do battle. I’ll be sure to let you know which side ends up victorious.

POEM OF THE DAY

Gaining line was a tedious grind
But my Accurate reel didn’t mind
It knew that later
Like Jack, its creator
It would sit back, relax, and unwind.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

Another few hundred miles and no doubt things will be different. Seas are choppy, but we are headed in the right direction for them and not bothered at all. We had a wahoo seminar after...... Hey out there, this is Larry from St. Louis doing the reporting yet again! (Yeah! More poems!). We took off this morning around 8 am for the annual Accurate 18 day trip and are travelling smoothly with great, albeit slightly chilly weather headed somewhere South. The crew was up even earlier than the passengers, and was kind enough to load the boat with bait before we ever got on, so we’re already a few hours ahead of the game. Jack,...... Read More
