Capt Bill Cavanaugh checked in from the Intrepid as they are on a 14 Day Izorline sponsored trip, we wanted to call a few days ago but we got busy. Here's a recap of what we have done so far, we started in the buffer zone and fished open water and birds looking for some better grade fish. We did not find the big guys, but we did get into a Yellowfin Tuna bite from 30 - 65 lbs it was the best bite I have seen in a long time. The folks got a lot of practice tugging and pulling before we headed to Hurricane Banks. We have been here a couple days and have had some better fishing on some nicer grade fish, our biggest fish so far taped at 220 lbs. We recommend that you use a flourocarbon leader about 100 lbs, the line is harder to see and seems to get bit better. Putting time in at the rail and finessing the baits has been productive. Out high light of the trip was when an angler named Dale was fishing just before grey light with a PL68 and hooked a Skipjack, as he was reeling it in a 180 lb Yellowfin Tuna came up and ate the Skipjack and the PL68 and he boated the fish 20 minutes later. That's it for now, we will check back in again later.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4088 to get in on the action.
