Temescal Fishing Report

12-2-2016
East Bay Regional Park District

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Greetings Anglers!
The weather has been unsettled. Moderate wind, some recent rains. The fish have been biting consistently.
There is a lot of duckweed on the surface of the lake now, but it is NOT the blue-green algae we experienced this past summer. Our lake waters are the cleanest they have been in quite some time in that regard. Best time of day for maximum success appears to be between 10am to 2pm.
So come on over and test your luck; you never know what you might catch if you don’t cast!

CATFISH

A few Anglers have been catching catfish still. Anglers have been using Power Bait: rainbow trout dough, night crawlers, red worms. No particular hot spot for the catfish but recent catches have been near the Big Rock picnic site.

TROUT

Anglers have been catching trout consistently. Some walking away with two or three good size trout. Most caught trout have been between 12 and 14 inches. The prominent baits have been Power Bait and Rainbow Trout dough.
