Cisco’s – Only 21 days left, let’s go fishing!

Channel Islands Sportfishing
Gloomy weather didn’t put a damper on fishing today. Other than overcast and misty foggy conditions with a chill in the air, today was a great day to go fishing. The ocean was flat and the fishing was great. Bottom fishing for tasty Rockfish and Lingcod made up the bulk of our catch but we did have a bonus Yellowtail in the count today. One lucky angler on a private charter hooked and landed a 25lb Yellowtail while he was fishing for Rockfish using a two hook rig baited with squid strips. An added bonus for our anglers was the obvious amount of people listening to “Fritz and Dallas” on the network news preaching bad weather. The loads were minimal on the boats because of it, almost like it was a weekday. Unfortunately, some boats never made it off the dock because they didn’t have enough reservations to run. Very unusual on a Saturday with only a few days left in the season.
We have only 21 fishing days left in the season. Not counting Christmas day we will be out on the water as much as possible before we pack things in for winter maintenance. Give us a call or book online anytime by going to our website and checking out the schedule tab.
Today’s Fish Count: 7 boats and 125 anglers.
1,126 Assorted Rockfish, 199 Lingcod, 11 Ocean Whitefish, 3 Sheephead, 9 Calico Bass, and 1 Yellowtail.
