Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone;
We continue to have wonderful weather as we arrived at Hurricane bank at 08:00 hours. Todays fishing was what I would call scratch fishing. It was the type of fishing where not only did you have to put your time in at the rail, but it also helped to be lucky.
The ladies on the boat did quite well with Kathy Rounds getting 2 fish at about 175 pounds each. First timer and retired nurse Gwen Kosi got a fish at 145 pounds and also lost a bigger one. Another first timer on the Royal Polaris, Judy Montague got a 150 pound Yellowfin tuna. Our fisherman that came from France, two of them each caught two fish around 150 to 175 pounds. Dr. Peter Douglas got a 150 pound, and a 175 pound Yellowfin tuna. We ended the day with 26 Yellowfin tuna, and 9 Wahoo. 17 Yellowfin tuna were 140 to 210 pounds, and 9 fish were 50 to 80 pounds. Chris Stavaridis landed the 210 pound Yellowfin tuna using a squid on the kite.
We are planning on getting some flyer's tonight and hoping for a good day tomorrow. The R/p crew.
