For Saturday the weather was excellent at both the inner and outer islands. Other than a chilly morning the day ended up being bright and sunny with very little breeze. Fishing was outstanding if your trying to fill your freezer before the end of the season. Lots of Whitefish being caught everywhere. We are almost catching as much Whitefish as we are Rockfish which you will hardly ever see. Although there is no game fish to speak of, there are plenty of fish to be caught. If you’re looking to fish shallow or even top water look at going on a full day trip. They seem to be catching a few Calico Bass and Bonito either before or after going Rockfishing. If Lingcod is what you’re after definitely look into an overnight trip. Morning boats are getting some but the outer island boats are knocking the Lings! Today’s Fish Count: 9 boats and 162 anglers. 909 Assorted Rockfish, 189 Lingcod, 43 Sheephead, 854 Ocean Whitefish, 33 Bonito, and 14 Calico Bass. For Sunday we have plenty of openings on our ¾ day and ½ day trips. In fact there is so little people signed up it looks more like a weekday. Give us a call if your coming or book online anytime.
