Fish Report for 10-30-2016

Cisco’s “rainy day special” on Sunday 10/30

10-30-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Today, we fished in the rain all day. Other than being a little wet it was rather nice out and the fishing was rather good. Of course, fish are already wet so they didn’t care it was raining but some anglers must have because the loads on the boats were really lite. Much to everyone’s delight there was ample rail space for those that did show up. Besides lots of room the fish were biting! Mostly bottom fish, like Sheephead, Lingcod, Whitefish and all sorts of Rockfish. Only a hand full of game fish was caught today. Strange, because the last couple times we had rain like this the Yellowtail were biting wide open. Just goes to show you never know when it comes to fishing, especially when it comes to our local game species. On another note, here we are at the end of another weekend and on the horizon of a new month. We look forward to seeing everyone at the dock again soon as this upcoming month is sure to be a good one! Today’s Fish Count: 8 boats and 138 anglers. 1,000 Rockfish, 50 Sheephead, 405 Ocean Whitefish, 1 Cabezon, 110 Lingcod, 15 Opaleye Perch, 16 Calico Bass and, 5 Yellowtail.
