Fish Report for 10-22-2016
Great fishing for ALL + bonus catch for 1 lucky angler
10-22-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing
Good fishing for all plus a rare catch for one lucky angler at Cisco’s! Fishing overall was good today as all the boats loaded up on nice Rockfish and Lingcod. We had only 1 Yellowtail caught today by Jenne Zappia of the Gold Coast Lady Anglers, but other than her fish no gamefish wanted to play. The weather was great today at both the islands and along the coastal fishing spots. In fact we had a rare catch on one of our ¾ day trips that was fishing the coast. Jay Levites from Oxnard caught a Tan Grouper while fishing for Rockfish on the Erna B. This fish is very rare in these parts and in fact, none of our captains had ever heard of one being caught this far north. They are normally located far south of the Mexican border.
We still have one day left in this beautiful weekend and we do have openings on some of the boats. Give us a call and reserve your spots before it’s too late. We also have online booking available anytime!
Today’s Fish Count: 9 boats and 210 anglers.
1,453 Rockfish, 167 Lingcod, 161 Whitefish, 6 Sheephead, 1 Sole, 2 Calico Bass, 27 Bonito, 1 Yellowtail and 1 Tan Grouper.
