The trout action was very good again this past week. The best baits being
rainbow power bait, night crawlers and small gold Kastmasters. Pier #3
and Trout Cove areas have been seeing the good action in the deeper parts
of the lake. The Buoy Line has been very hot also. Most anglers are
reporting average-size trout from Trout Cove and other areas with most
fish in the 1 to 2 pound range. The last stock was planted March 11, with
1200 pounds of rainbow trout. Dixon is planting another 1200 pounds of
rainbows on Wednesday, March 19.
No catfish reported this week.
Bass action showed good signs of picking up this week. Try fishing the
north shoreline for the better action. Plastic worms and jigs are working
best. No big bass have been reported again this week. Most fish were
running 1 to 3 pounds.
