Weather: last Saturday it was a windy day until Sunday morning with nice and calm weather conditions, breeze started to pick up around noon. We started this week with nice weather conditions until today. Forecast temperatures for today at 2 pm. 83?? F, wind 2 miles, sunrise 6:33 and sunset 6:34 pm.
Yellowtail: this week we have had at the fishing camp (30 miles north of Loreto) Danny Martin and friends, this group of 6 people came to the camp last Wednesday and started fishing on the same day in the afternoon with good luck also on the next day in 3 boats they captured 30 Yellowtails, also yesterday was another good day fishing some boats at the camp captured 6 pieces of them and weighted between 15 to 26 pounds.
Yellowtail fishing starting from Loreto, we have had several days of captures on the east side of Carmen Island in the Punta Perico reef the first days when the yellows showed up, some boats captured over 10 pieces of them and weighted between 15 to 26 pounds, but the next day the capture went down, some boats only captured couple of them.
Last Thursday coming down to Loreto, Marty Dufek??s group and this group started fishing yesterday morning, we made the decision all together about where is the best fishing area to go next day, we went to Pulpito area because the group at the camp had a very good fishing day on that spot, we had an excellent idea because yesterday and today we had a great fishing day, some boats brought 10 pieces of Yellowtail and heard in the radio right know about the Yellows started baiting on the Punta Perico reef and the boats captured 6 to 10 pieces of them. The Yellowtail made a boiled on the water surface to eat the schools sardines most of the people fishing with fly line, or with swivel, leader line and hook, also some people fishing without leader line only with hook. Or slider sinker "2 oz.", the leader line 60 pounds and hook 6 or 7/0.
We attached a picture of Jim Rost, Scott Bathurst, Rick Vollmar, Tim Matthews, Anthony Rodriguez and Dennis Jennings from Marty Dufek??s group.
Mackerel, we had available in the morning depending on weather conditions, with the bait receiver and also from the fishing camp we captured plenty of Spanish mackerel early in the morning.
