Fish Report for 9-20-2016

Cisco's YELLOWTAIL report for Tuesday

9-20-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Today was almost as good as yesterday. Still losing a high percentage of fish but thankfully we are putting some big Yellows on the deck. These fish are ranging from and honest 25lbs up to 40lbs so be ready with tackle no lighter than 30lb. We would like to see everyone setup with live bait sticks and reels loaded with 40 pound minimum. These Yellowtail are fired up and pulling much harder than normal. Plus we are fishing near submerged kelp so you need to get them turned before you get tangled. Sea Lions are also taking some fish from us so that’s another reason to “horse” them to the boat. This bite is outstanding but there is no telling when it will shut off. Do not wait, give us a call or book your tickets online. We’ll see you at the dock! Today’s Fish Count: 7 boats and 173 anglers. 235 Yellowtail, 5 Calico Bass and 4 Rockfish.
