Royal Polaris Crew
The Royal Polaris is pleased to present one of their favorite, most charismatic, friendly, charming and incredibly humble passengers, Mike Hieshima, as your ghost writer fir the trip. I’m honored to be aboard and very happy to announce a great start to the Seeker 6 day. Here are a few highlights…
We arrived at our destination at noon today and looked around at the pristine fishing environment. Incredible blue clear water, calm sunny conditions and a nice school of 50 to 70lb Yellowfin tuna in the mood to play.
We started a drift and hooked some very nice tuna. The school got on us and we had 5-6 fish going at a time.
We ended the day with over 60 Yellowfin with many personal best showers in the mix. The personal bests included Leon, Brandon, , , .We also had 8 nice yellowtail in the mix from 20-40lbs. The largest yellowtail going to yours truly was, wait for it, a personal best and also earned me a beautiful new rod for the first yellow over 35lbs, thank you Seeker!
I tried to duck from my commitment and remove my boots before the shower, but to no avail, Big D hosed me down and filled my boots. Who is the idiot that started that tradition anyway? Oh yeah, that was me. My bad!
In any case, we had a great half day of fishing and look forward to the next few. Please stay tuned as more fun is on the horizon.
