Royal Polaris Fishing Report

Royal Polaris Crew

Well, well, well. It’s time to start another 3 day adventure, aboard the Royal Polaris. Our first 3 day adventure was just amazing, with quality Bluefin biting, but that’s the past and we are now on the next 3 day adventure. We departed Fisherman’s landing at 09:30 hours, headed to the bait barge, loaded up a decent load of bait and headed for San Clemente Island. We arrived to our destination at 16:30 hours, looked at the situation, made the decision to drop the anchor, and BAM, it didn’t take long for us to hook our first Bluefin tuna. The fish inhaled a Shimano flat fall jig. After a brief battle, the fish was brought to the boat. It was a nice 70 pound Bluefin tuna. We would not hook or land another fish for about an hour, and then it happened.

We would have 4 to 5 fish going, but we would have some heartbreaks. Once the smoke had cleared, we would end up with 7 Bluefin tuna, all in the 70 to 80 pound range.

For a start, this is good. We will try to make some squid tonight, and give this the college try again tomorrow. So until then, wish us luck. Team R/p (Jonathan, Dharyl, Eddie, Deron, Greg, Austin, Mark, and Anthony). That’s right, Anthony is here for a trip, helping out the galley.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
