Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone; After the off load of our fish from the Corky 8 day adventure, it was time to do it all over again. With only 3 days to fish, we hope that the Bluefin continue to bite. We departed Fisherman’s landing at 09:30 hours, and headed for the bait barge.
After loading bait, we headed north, to the Bluefin grounds.
After Roy gave his safety seminar and talked about fishing Bluefin tuna, the crew went to work getting everyone ready for Bluefin. Once everyone was ready, it was time for the Dan/Charlie Poker open.
We arrived to the ground around 16:30 hours, and we made many anchor drops, only to drag one after another. We hooked 2 fish, and only landing one fish for our efforts today.
Charlie (chartermaster) was the lucky anglers with a 65 pound(est. wt.) Bluefin tuna.
With the sun going down, and the lack of fish around the boat, we pulled our anchor and started looking for squid for tomorrow’s bait. So at this point we are looking for bait, so wish us luck. Team R/p (Roy, Dharyl, Jonathan, Ed, Kyle, Greg, Mark, and Joe).
