Fish Report for 9-3-2016

Cisco's report for Saturday 9/3

9-3-2016
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Judging by the count you may think the Yellows didn’t want to come out and play, but that’s not necessarily the case. A high casualty rate was the main culprit. If not sawed off in a tangle, or wrapped up in the kelp, it was pulled hooks, and break offs. With the amount of fish lost today you would think these Yellows are diving down and doing figure eights around rocks! Thank goodness we have a reliable backup with good bottom fishing so everyone got to catch something and bring home enough for tacos tonight! The weekend is young and with the holiday we score an extra day. Stay tuned for another count and report at this same time tomorrow evening. Today’s Fish Count: 10 boats and 266 anglers. 25 Yellowtail, 61 Calico Bass, 22 Bonito, 2 Barracuda, 1 Cabezon, 101 Lingcod, 2 Sheephead, 268 Whitefish, 2 Opaleye Perch and 609 Assorted Rockfish.
