Jess Ranch Lakes Staff

It was a beautiful week out on the high desert after last week's
big storm system blew through. The bite was slower than usual
but improved throughout the weekend especially for those
anglers who worked their tackle and bait. Those that did catch
limits used plastics. lures, power bait ( especially spring green,
corn yellow and red) and inflated night crawlers dipped in
garlic. Hot spots included the north and eastern shores of lake
2 as well as the grassy point and western shore of lake 3.
Many anglers also walked the shorelines of both lakes to catch
their trout.

Catches of the Week: Tom Nieves of West Covina limited and
reeled in a 6 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on a yellow power worm while
fishing the north shore of lake 2 near the bridge.Omar Torres of
Glendale scored a 6 lbs 8 ozs rainbow on the eastern shore of
lake 2 using spring green power bait and took home a limit as
well. Randy Mason of Azusa caught his 3 lbs 9 ozs trout on an
orange power worm while fishing the eastern shore of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.
Hours: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays--7am to 4pm.
