Trout fishing

The Water Temp is still to warm for the trout to bite. We will try to resume Trout Plants the 1st week in October depending on the weather and water temp. Please put our Annual Family Fishing Day on your calendar it will be Saturday the 22nd of October. From 8 a.m. 1 p.m. we will be planting 1,000 lbs of Mt Lassen trout into a net for the kids to fish lots of family fun. See our facebook for more details “ San Pablo Reservoir”

Cat fishing

The catfish were biting in Scow Canyon this week with wax worms. You can also find them at the pines and the main rec and at the launch.

Fish Tales

Dan Christopher of American Canyon caught 2 catfish the largest weighing 14 lbs in Scow Canyon using worms on 8/15/16.
Henry Garcia of Newark caught 2 catfish the largest weighing 5lbs using worms at the boat launch on 8/20/16.
Donald Irby of Oakland caught 1 catfish weighing 12.5 lbs using red worms at the main rec on 8-20-16

Park Information

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during August being 6:00 am to 7:30 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 6:30 pm. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available.
