Another nice day of offshore tuna fishing

Captain Steve Gawitt aboard the Aztec is returning from a one day charter with 22 yellowfin tuna in the 50-100lb class.
The Eclipse is also returning from a one day charter with 43 yellowfin tuna for only 16 anglers.
The Tribute got into the action today returning with 31 yellowfin tuna.
The San Diego is returning from his three quarter day trip with 7 yellowfin tuna and 2 bluefin tuna (40-50lbs).
If you are planning to make an offshore trip fishing tuna, please make sure to bring a light tackle outfit (20-25lb test and 1-2 size hooks) and also a heavy outfit (50lb and up) just in case you get into the bluefin tuna or the yellowfin tuna want to bite wide open.

UPDATE 1:50pm - The Tribute has called in with an update of 20 Yellowfin Tuna for their one day trip. These fish are all 10-20lbs and a small leader of 20lb fluorocarbon with a size #2 or #1 hook has been the best method to catch these fish! They have a couple hours left to fish so stay tuned for more updates!...... Read More
