Collins Lake Fishing Report

You never know where exactly you will hook a fish at Collins Lake, but to be sure, hooking fish is what Lake Collins fishermen do best! Little Amy Fleming from Yuba City defied all odds and limits out on trout from shore using green PowerBait! Most people are trolling at least 25′ down to find the Rainbows, yet Amy was in the right place at the right time that’s for sure!

Kevin Calhoun & his cousin Jeremiah Sanders continue to catch lots of Bluegill & Crappie from the dock where their family has a campsite.

Isiah & Hanna from Campbell found their little pot of gold at the rental boat dock, together they hooked 25 Bluegill on worms. Gary Coffman from Rohnert Park trolled a pink Kastmaster and hooked two nice trout, his biggest one weighed 4 pounds. A. J. Vann from Galt got real lucky one night, he stayed up late and fished the moonlight and hooked two huge Catfish. They each weighed 7 pounds or better. Joe Jones from Vacaville hooked his 2 lb. 4 oz. Bass on a crankbait off the dock, that takes some skill Joe! Kayden Niedzieski from Reno, Nv. used worms and fished the dock with great success, he caught a total of 12 Sunfish! If you're looking for a great fishing outing, come to Collins Lake and get a taste of all we have to offer!
