UPDATE 3:20 PM July 8th- The Apollo has called in with 40 yellowfin tuna(12-18lbs) for the first of a two day trip fishing in one day range.
The Pacific Voyager and Endeavor both on multi days have mixed bags of yellowfin tuna, dorado and yellowtail.
There is fish on the kelps and also tuna on the porpoise. Live bait, swim baits and flat falls have all been working well. Make sure to bring a 25-30lb outfit and also a 50lb rig just in case you get into the bluefin tuna.
The San Diego has called in from a three quarter day to the Coronado Islands with 53 yellowtail(12-25lbs), 4 barracuda, 37 red rockcod and 48 rock fish. Fly lined baits and surface jigs worked well today for the yellowtail. The San Diego departs daily at 5:30am and requires a valid passport to board regardless of age.
Update 7/9/16 11:00am- The San Diego is back on the yellowtail today. Captain Cameron reported in with 20 yellowtail, and had fish hanging. Very good fishing on the surface iron and bait.
